LORAWAN Network Tester (GPS)

The LoRaWAN® network tester allows automatic or manual measurement of the coverage quality of a LORA network, while locating (GPS) measurement points.

Categories: , Features: ,

Description

The LoRaWAN® network tester allows automatic or manual measurement of the coverage quality of a LORA network, while locating measurement points (GPS).

The LoRaWAN network tester sends a special signal to the LoRaWAN® network, and returns the number of Gateways that received this signal, as well as the signal quality (SNR, RSSI, dB). This uplink / downlink data tester displays information on a digital display (OLED).
The LORAWAN network tester has a GPS chip, which allows the location of measurements (GPS position, number of satellites). When the automatic function is activated, the tester constantly updates its coordinates and sends them with the measurement data to the LoRaWAN® network.

The LORAWAN tester can be used to test standard LoRaWAN® networks (public or private). The tester helps to decide the best placement of gateways and sensors relative to each other.

About LoRaWAN

The LORAWAN communication network (also called LORA) is a wireless communication network dedicated to the Internet of Things. It allows the transmission of small data packets over large distances (up to 15-20km). It consumes little energy, and allows sensors to operate on battery power for up to 10 years.

LORAWAN® is also particularly well suited to communication in buildings.

The success of LORAWAN® comes from its ease of implementation, in the form of a private network.  There are also LORAWAN® public networks in some countries, such as:

LORAWAN-NETWORK-IOT-FACTORY

  • In Belgium and Luxembourg, Proximus operates a nation wide LoRaWAN network.
  • In France, Orange and Bouygues operate a LoRaWAN network.
  • In the Netherlands, KPN is the main LoRaWAN operator.
  • In Switzerland, SwissCom is the main LORAWAN operator
  • LoRaWAN is available in most Countries (Spain, http://localhost/products/private-lorawan-network/Andorra, Italy, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, UK, Ireland, Iceland…). Worldwide.

If there is no LoRaWAN coverage in your country/region, it is also possible to deploy a private LoRaWAN network.

Contact us if you have questions about the LORAWAN coverage in your region.
