Connect the Landis-Gyr Ultraheat T230 smart meters to the LORAWAN network !
Landis-Gyr is a world leader in energy metering. Landis-Gyr offers a wide range of smart meters for the measurement of electricity, gas and heat and cold consumption.
In the Landis-Gyr range, the LANDIS-GYR Ultraheat T230 meter. This heat and cold meter for residential use allows measurement of heat consumption, cold, or both together.
We are now proposing a communication module for transferring the Landis-Gyr T230 count data through the LORAWAN network. Our converter allows to connect up to 10 Landis-Gyr T230 in parallel, to collect consumption data at a configurable frequency (for example every hour), and their transmission at a configurable frequency (for example once a day) via a private or public LORAWAN network.
M-BUS to LORAWAN converter for Landis-Gyr T230
The LANDIS-GYR Ultraheat T230 optionally supports the M-BUS communication standard. Our M-BUS to LORAWAN converter has been adapted (at the firmware level) to support the Landis-Gyr T230 specific M-BUS protocol. It is therefore possible to connect 10 smart heat meters T230 to this converter and transfer the consumption data to a remote application.
What is the M-BUS protocol?
It is a European standard defining the transport and data layers of a communication bus, for reading energy consumption on gas meters, electricity, but more generally also heat consumption meters, d ‘water…

There is also a stand-alone query mode, in which the MBUS to LORAWAN Converter autonomously queries the connected heat / cool meters, and transfers the decoded data to a third-party application via the LORAWAN network.
This standalone query mode is currently supported on the following counters:
